We lived in a house of 2400 sq ft, which wasnвЂ™t filled to the brim, but in my mind, was in serious need of a вЂњthinning out.вЂќ I got busy at 8am that next morning after dropping my husband off for the airport bus. All this was less than ten hours from his week-long, business trip to India, which gave me time to process this IDEA alone and time to start preparing. I donвЂ™t think I was really prepared for him to tell me that he had found a job where he knew heвЂ™d be happy. Of course, I thought that Denmark might be an option, since my husband was originally from there and only had lived in the U.S. We lived in the U.S., where we met, had a house and family and where I was born and raised. I, of course, told him to вЂњgo for it,вЂќ not knowing really if he were serious or what it might lead to. Not to say that this move came out of nowhere, but it wasnвЂ™t really planned.Д«ack in the end of August, my husband comes home from work and says that he wants to вЂњlook aroundвЂќ at other jobs.

It is still important despite what you might think as it is the best indication future employers will have as to your abilities and what you are capable of achieving.We`re moving to Denmark! That is something that I didn`t expect to say anytime soon. Right now concentrate on the German and you degree. And in any case by the time you finish in college everyone will be well on their way to using IFRS! It is only when you are more senior and start to deal with group accounting etc, that local language is not so important.ДЄs for Swiss GAAP versus US GAAP, I would not worry about it, as if you have a good knowledge of one, picking up the other is not such a big deal. When it comes to entry level accounting positions, you need to have a good knowledge of the local language because such positions require you to deal with the local systems and laws.

That would be a much better start for you, than trying to land an entry level accounting job.

That combined with some good exam results should put you in a good position to try and land a place on one of the graduate programs offered by the big companies here in Switzerland. You have got two years, so you should try and reach B1 level at least in that time. I would suggest that there are two things to concentrate on, the first is German and the second is getting a very good result in you studies. I will be moving to basel in 2 years from now i lam a curios and like to plan ahead, i know i will be getting a B premit and i will take german language courses since most jobs need you to speak good german and you understand it and everything my fiance is trying be positive and telling me that i will find a job and everything and i know thats not the case and its the opposite way around i would like to know is there anything i should know before or after i get there and is there things i can do to occupy my time or is the any possible jobs i know they are very little few jobs that dont require that you know german and is there anything i can do along my studying of german languages i can and things i can do until i am prepared to work please dont histate to reply with your opinions and suggestions and sorry for any misspelling or anything and thank you for your time I have been to switzerland and will be going again this june going to see the italian parts of switzerland i have been to bern basel and st moritz lovely place loved it but it was extremely cold for me but i will get use to it Well i am new to the form trying to get use to it and my head around it as well so i will start with basic information about myself i am college student majoring in accounting engaged to a swiss guy and we r planning on getting married in 2 years from now because thats when i will obtain my bachelor degree in accounting
